Samsung has launched the ES55 digital camera, comes in pink and is made specially for girls. This camera also comes equipped with the Beauty shot mode which makes the facial skin of the girl in the picture to show Barbie-like glow.

The Beauty-mode is simply what the camera’s capability to adjust the contrast automatically to smoothen the facial features. The specs of the ES55 camera include a 10-megapixel sensor, face detection and auto exposure.

Along with the ES55, Samsung has also rolled out a black camera, WB500, which comes with more or less similar features, but it doesn’t have the Beauty shot mode. Since it comes in black, it’s better for the boys. The WB500 is equipped with a 10x optical zoom with a 24mm ultra wide lens for high quality picture taking. Samsung also bundled high-def movie and capture and dual-image stabilization, which allows the boys to shoot great pictures even under low-light condition.

The ES55 camera is to cost $140 and the WB500 is likely to cost $330 and they should be available in mid of Feb this year.
