Celebrities who get addicted on Twitter could have done lots of good things. Such as saving a life is possible. Just within the 140 characters, you’re able to save a life. Demi Moore did it on Twitter by saving someone from committing suicide.
She got a message from Sandiguy which read “getting a knife,a big one that is sharp. Going to cut my arm down the whole arm so it doesn’t waste time.” To which Demi had said, “Hope you are joking.”
Then about an hour later Demi wrote “Everyone I was very torn about responding or retweeting that woman’s post but felt uncomfortable just letting it go.”
Demi’s followers who read the message about the suicidal woman and called the the cops at the San Jose Police Department for help. A rep of the police department said they received several phone calls about the suicidal woman from all the places even from far away. And finally the police managed to locate the suicidal woman and found she hadn’t hurt herself and then was taken for evaluation.
Demi later Tweeted:
“Thanks everyone for reaching out to the San Jose PD i am told they are aware and no need to call anymore. I do not know this woman…. And if it is a joke it is not funny and nor is this an approriate outlet for such a serious matter Time for us to move on.”
