Sanyo has announced their latest digital camera/camcorder, Xacti DMX-CA100, which is claimed to be first of its kind that is waterproof and capable of shooting full HD video and still images underwater. The Xacti DMX-CA100 should be a great gear for the divers or snorkelers for shooting their great adventures underwater.
The Sanyo Xacti DMX-CA100 is capable of recordng Full HD MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format videos and has a 14-megapixel sensor for still images. And it captures video at 60fps at full HD (1920×1080) resolution. It also features high-speed Sequential shooting mode which allows it to capture 22 photos at 7fps.
Other goodies found on the Sanyo device are a 2.7 inch LCD display, AV out, 5x optical zoom lens with Double Range Zoom that allows the extend of present zoom range up to 12x, Mini HDMI output, SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot with Eye-Fi capability, ISO 1600, Digital Image Stabilizer and Face Chaser Function and USB 2.0 connector.
The device is expected to be out sometime in June, with a number of colors including Yellow, Black and girls’ favorite, Pink. No indication for the price yet.
