For the big fans of Japanese Manga characters, PC Koubou has just launched their new notebooks that come pimped with Manga characters, Neon and Hikari. There are three models included in the launch.
The high-end model is the VN637hGW-HikariNeon TYPE-GX, which packs an Intel Core i7-740QM 1.73GHz processor, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD, an Intel HM55 Chipset, a DVD Super Multi Drive and a Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics. This notebook comes with large screen display of 15.6 inches and with a resolution of WXGA++ (1600×900). It also has WiFi b/g/n and an HDMI output. The price is about $1,310 USD.
The middle-end model is the VN637hGW-HikariNeon TYPE-G, which also packs the same screen size of 15.6 inches and same resolution. But it packs a lower-end processor – Intel Core i5-430M (2.26GHz),an Intel HM55 Chipset, 2GB of memory, 320GB of HDD, a DVD Super Multi Drive, a Mobility Radeon HD 4570. It’s priced at about USD $1,092 after the conversion.
The last model has an Intel Celeron T3100 (1.90GHz) processor, an Intel GL40 Chipset, 2GB of RAM, 320GB of HDD, a DVD Super Multi Drive, an Intel GMA4500M GPU, and has a screen of 15.6 inch but with only WVGA resolution of 1366 x 768 only. Its price is around $764 USD. These notebooks shall be made only for the Japanese market, and no indication on how you could get them outside of Japan.
