Samsung outs new QWERTY messaging phone, its name is just :) the familiar Smiley face

Samsung has readied a QWERTY slider phone that comes with a cute name which is simply called :), yes, the Smiley sign that you always use while you’re messaging in your email or IM. Alternatively, the phone is also codenamed as Samsung SGH-t359. This phone is a slider with a QWERTY that slides to the bottom, specially designed for heavy users of messaging.

The phone is exclusively available through T-Mobile and it’s able to connect to various social networking sites via the T-Mobile Social Buzz application. This Samsung Smiley packs common features found on today’s phones including a 2.6 -inch screen 240 x 320pixel with 262K colors, 1.3-megapixel camera and video playback. It also has a USB port, a microSD card slot, calculator, calendar, alarm clock, web browser, aGPS and supports a 3G and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity.

It also packs a Lithium Ion 1000mAh battery that provides up to 6 hours of talk time but is able to go standby for up to 476 hours. The Samsung Smiley will be available in two plans on the T-Mobile, Individual 500 and Individual Unlimited which costs $40 and $60 per month respectively. The main difference is the minutes, which the former is limited to 500 only and the latter is unlimited. The picture below shows you clearly the two plans.
